I miss you...

Somewhere along the line my faithful friend, my computer, contracted a virus and it affects my internet. It all started on Saturday (last weekend) and I am still working daily to find the best and cheapest solution to my problem! With that being said, I am having HUGE Blog, Facebook and Pintrest withdrawals! I mean, I can hardly sleep at night, I miss it so!
I have a million blogs going on in my head right now BUT I am not able to post like normal due to the lack of a keyboard to type and internet use! Please be patient with me and pray for my computer! Unfortunately, there's not an oil that can fix this one... :(
As some of you have seen on Facebook, I am teaching an Essential Oils Wellness Class in my home next Saturday (May 18th) at 2pm! If you have thought about using alternative meds, and especially essential oils, for even a second, you HAVE to make it to my house next Saturday! We are going to have an amazing time learning, chatting and getting free stuff! :) This will also give you a chance to talk about those health issues you have been battling (or a family member has been battling) and find a solution and a HOPE!
Until next time, my friends... and hopefully that will be soon!!!
God bless you!

Mexican Stuffed Peppers/Clean Eating

Mexican Stuffed Peppers

It's what we had for dinner a few nights ago. This is an EASY recipe and is carb/grain-free!!!! Nothing but protein and veggies! (and some cheese...) It does a great job filling up hungry tummies, in a healthy way, and they don't even know it! :)

6 - colored bell peppers (washed, cut in half and cleaned of seeds and stem)
2 - 15 oz cans organic black beans (drained and rinsed)
1 - 15 oz can organic diced tomatoes (undrained)
3 cups - cooked Quinoa
1 - onion (chopped)
2 - cloves garlic (minced)
2 cups - chopped fresh cilantro
3 tbsp - cumin
3 tbsp - chili powder
salt and pepper to taste
1 lb - natural and organic pork sausage
2 tbsp - Coconut oil
2 cups - shredded raw cheese
1 - small can of sliced black olives (drained)

Preheat oven to 350.
Grease a large rectangle casserole pan. Place your peppers in the pan, open side facing up. Brown the sausage in a large frying pan and when completely cooked, remove from pan. Save the grease in the pan and add chopped onion and minced garlic. Saute until tender. Then add coconut oil to the pan. When melted add cooked quinoa. Stir and add cilantro and spices. Once thoroughly hot, add tomatoes and black beans. Stir all ingredients together and remove from heat when completely warmed. Now you can begin filling your peppers with the stuffing. Use a large spoon to fill each pepper and use the rest in the pan to fill in the spaces in the pan. Cover and bake for 45 mins. After 45 minutes, remove the cover and add cheese. Top with black olives and put back in the oven for 15 more mins. Once cheese is totally melted and bubbly, remove. Let sit for 10 mins to cool a little... then dig in!

Keeping Your Frequency High

Today let's talk about frequencies. It was so weird to me when I first started learning about our body's frequency and how important it was to keep it on a normal level to sustain health. I kept asking myself, "Is this Godly? Is this some "way out there" scientific thing?" But then I put all of the pieces together and it started making PERFECT sense. And here's what I figured out...

1.   God created the world, He spoke it into existence.

Genesis 1:11,12
11 Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth”; and it was so. 12 And the earth brought forth grass, the herb that yields seed according to its kind, and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.

2.   God's words spoke life into EVERY living thing.
3.   And EVERY living thing has a frequency.
4.   When prayer and essential oils are combined, the frequency is DOUBLED!

Our bodies have measurable frequencies (vibrational motion) recorded in hertz (Hz), and you've probably heard of the terms kilohertz (kHz) & megahertz (MHz). Everything "living" has a frequency that can be measured.

The normal healthy body is said to have a frequency of 62-78 Hz.

At about 42 Hz you can become susceptible to cancer, and at 25 Hz, death begins.
Bruce Tainio, a plant breeder and microbiologist of Tainio Technology in Washington, developed the first frequency monitor to measure biofrequencies in plants and essential oils. He determined that when the frequencies dropped, the body's immune system is compromised, and illness may be allowed to invade.

For example, processed and poor quality food, pollutants, and toxins which have a lower frequencies will lower the frequency of the body towards a disease state with each exposure.

Canned food is reported to have a frequency of ZERO.

Why? Because the energy, or "life force" of the food has been processed right out of it. It's been said that just holding a cup of coffee can lower a body frequency by about 8 Hz. Drinking it lowers it even more.
Impressively, Bruce Tainio's machine was certified 100% accurate and is still used today in the agriculture industry after beginning to realize the negative effects of chemicals being used by the agriculture community back in the 1960's.

There is a subtle bio-energy that flows through all organic life. It goes by many names and is sometimes referred to as Chi or life force. This energy is expressed as an electromagnetic vibrational frequency – and pure essential oils have the highest frequencies of any measured natural substance.

For example, here are the average frequencies of some of the therapeutic grade essential oils that have been measured:
  • Rose (Rosa damascene).....................320 MHz
  • Lavender (Lavendula angustifolia)........118 MHz
  • Myrrh (Commiphora myrrha)................105 MHz
  • Blue Chamomile (Matricaria recutita).....105 MHz
  • Juniper (Juniperus osteosperma)............98 MHz
  • Aloes/Sandalwood (Santalum album)......96 MHz
  • Angelica (Angelica archangelica)...........85 MHz
  • Peppermint (Mentha peperita)..............78 MHz
  • Galbanum (Ferula gummosa).................56 MHz
  • Basil (Ocimum basilicum)......................52 MHz

Effects of Outside Influences on Body Frequency

Based on his studies, researcher Nikola Tesla said that, if we could eliminate certain outside frequencies that interfered in our bodies, we would have greater resistance toward disease.
Pathogens have a low frequency. Pollutants - both particulate and radiation (EMF) - lower a healthy frequency. Processed and canned food having a frequency of zero can greatly diminish a person's own frequency.
Even thoughts and feelings have a vibratory quality that forms a measurable frequency. A negative mental state can lower a person's frequency by 10-12 MHz. Likewise, a substance or influencing factor - such as thoughts, emotions, and frequency devices - in our internal and external environments can also serve to raise our frequencies. For example, a positive mental attitude, prayer or meditation can raise it by 10-15 MHz.

Different types of frequencies can have a chaotic or a harmonizing effect on our own systems. When something vibrates at many dissonant frequencies, it produces “chaotic or incoherent frequencies.” (David Stewart, The Chemistry of Essential Oils Made Simple).
For example, all of the electrical devices in your home – lamps, television, radio, phone, microwave – emit electromagnetic vibrational frequencies that are incoherent and chaotic. Their effect is to fracture the human electrical field.
By contrast, Dr. Rife’s frequency generator and most naturally occurring substances –including essential oils – have coherent frequencies that resonate harmoniously with the electrical field of the human body.

The Healing Process and the Subtle Energy Nature of Essential Oils

The human body vibrating within its normal vibratory range between 62 and 68 MHz is considered in a state of health. But energy disturbances in the subtle bodies will actually precede the appearance of disease and illness in the physical body.
The normally harmonious coherent frequencies of the body easily go out of “tune” when a person experiences physical or emotional stress. A blockage of the flow of life energy – characterized by inflammation, irritation and illness – can result. When the human frequency range drops below the norm of 62 megahertz, this is when abnormal processes can begin to develop.
When disease and illness are present, they may manifest as chemical imbalances. But underlying this is an electromagnetic imbalance that has altered the specific vibrational frequencies of molecules, cells, tissues and organs within the body.

Properly “retuning” the body to its original frequency brings it into balance and restores its natural harmonic resonance – illness either doesn’t manifest or is resolved.

Dr. Richard Gerber MD, author of Vibrational Medicine, tells us that one of the best ways we can “frequency-specific subtle energy in the form of vibrational medicines.”

change dysfunctional patterns in our energy bodies is to administer therapeutic doses of
And researcher Jim Oschman, PhD, who wrote Energy Medicine, refers to natural substances from the plant kingdom he calls “energetic pharmacology”. Therapeutic grade essential oils produce coherent frequencies that are naturally tuned to the health of our bodies. Pharmaceuticals and synthetic oils do not.

The intention of this healing process is to provide the correct frequency that will bring the body back to a state of coherence, to a state of equilibrium. Terry Friedman, in his book, Freedom Through Health tells us that raising our vibrational frequency aids in “restoring health to the body, clarity to the mind and attunement to the spirit.”

By applying an essential oil with a particular frequency to the human body – through the principle of entrainment - the oil’s higher frequency will raise the vibratory quality of that individual. When several oils are blended together, each having a different MHz frequency, a frequency will emerge that may be higher or lower than the various components. The therapeutic properties create special vibrational remedies capable of healing or rebalancing the body/mind/soul/spirit.

And because each oil has a specific frequency, and our organs and body systems and the nutrients needed to maintain optimum health each have their specific frequencies, the oil's electrical affinity to these components of our bodies will enhance and support these organs and body systems, and will aid in the assimilation of nutrients.
Essential oils in the higher frequency ranges tend to influence the emotions. EOs in the lower frequencies have more effect on structural and physical changes, including cells, hormones, and bones, as well as viruses, bacteria, and fungi.
Essential oils don’t resonate with the toxins in our bodies. This incompatibility is what helps eliminate the toxins from our systems. Neither do they resonate with negative emotions. So they can help dislodge forgotten traumas by surfacing them in our consciousness where we can deal with them and let them go.

Clinical research shows that essential oils have the highest frequency of any natural substance known to man, creating an environment in which disease, bacteria, virus, fungus, etc., cannot live. I believe that the chemistry and frequencies of essential oils have the ability to help man maintain the optimal frequency to the extent that disease cannot exist.

Gary Young of Young Living Essential Oils

The beauty of using therapeutic grade essential oils to restore coherent healthy vibrational frequencies to the body is that they are:
  • Affordable
  • Accessible
  • Effective
  • Versatile

Essential oils offer us a natural way to restore our body's healthy electromagnetic vibrational frequency. The elegance of their holism allows for easy functionality in our daily lives. Their constant subtle presence gently resonates with our body’s electrical fields aiding and restoring harmonic health and well-being on all levels.

Essential Oil Use And Effect On The Body
They've been around for thousands of years. Most notably the Three Wise Men bringing gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh to the Baby Jesus. Frankincense has a frequency of about 147, and Myrrh is about 108.
Essential Oil frequencies range from 52 Hz - 320 Hz, the highest being that of Rose Oil. Clove Oil shines above the crowd too by being noted for having the most antioxidant power in nature. It's the "therapeutic grade" oils that are most effective in obtaining results you are hoping for.
Just as poor quality food and toxins lower the body's frequency, quality Essential Oils elevate the body's frequency to a more healthy state.

Oils used by any method will have some effect on your energy level.

Smell or Aromatic Use of Oils:
Smells travel through the mucus lining of the nose and are then carried by nerve cells to a place in theLimbic System," the "seat" of your emotions. This occurs in the form of electrical impulses. The oil molecules themselves don't actually enter the brain, but the impulses do. The resultant smell is from a combination of chemical manifestation and of energy or frequency (medicinal quality) emitted by the object you are smelling. The Limbic System is directly connected to other parts of the brain that control Heart rate, blood pressure, memory, breathing, stress reactions and hormones.

Topical Use of Oils:
When applying oils topically, it's sometimes recommended to use a carrier oil, such as virgin olive oil or my favorite, organic, unrefined coconut oil. Essential oils meant for topical, or "neat" application should be identified. Some used for muscle or joint soreness can be applied right to the site, and can be felt within seconds of application. For oils that help promote restful sleep or relaxation such as Lavender, a good area to apply it is to the soles of the feet where the pores are large and it absorbs well.

Internal Use of Oils:
The ONLY oils I recommend for internal use is YOUNG LIVING ESSENTIAL OILS. They are the
only oils that are pure enough to ingest. Oils meant internal use, such as Lemon, Peppermint or Thieves are also very therapeutic to the digestive system and can help in detox and elimination of bacteria or parasites. A drop or two in purified water or in an empty capsule is enough to reap the benefits.

A Holy Oil.

Young Living Essential Oils offers 2 types of Frankincense. Frankincense (Boswellia carteri) and Sacred Frankincense. This essential oil comes from the Boswellia sacra frankincense tree and is distilled at the Young Living distillery in Oman.

Frankincense Oil, Olibanum Oil or Oil of Lebanon is considered a holy oil in the Middle East and we know that it was given to Christ at the time of his birth. Frankincense essential oil is mentioned 22 times in the Bible. The uses and benefits of Frankincense date back way before the time of Christ to the Egyptians and Sumerians.

The Egyptians used it for incense, skin care, stomach ailments and kohl.

Sacred Frankincense Essential Oil, Oman Frankincense or Omani hojari is showing anti-tumoral and anti-cancer activity according to new research by Dr. Mahmoud Sunhail.

It is one of the rarest essential oils of the world as this species of frankincense tree only grows in Oman. It is considered the most precious spiritual oil of the Middle East; and as such has not been available outside of Oman for purchase until recently..

Although many texts cite that the species of Boswellia carterii and Boswellia sacra are identical, chemists and historians would disagree; as well as Saudi Royals and Oman Officials! It is believed that Boswellia sacra is the ancient species of which the oil of biblical times was created.

Although the chemistry of the essential oils is slightly different the same medicinal properties and uses of frankincense oil apply. However, studies are finding that the anti-cancerous effects are far greater than the Boswelli carterii species. It is actually dissolving or digesting the nucleus or "brain center" of cancer cells!!!

Today, we know through Chemistry that Frankincense contains sesquiterpenes that stimulate the part of the brain that controls emotions. It also helps the hypothalamus, pineal and pituitary glands that produce many of the important hormones in our body. And it helps strengthen the immune system by increasing leukocyte activity.

For years Frankincense was known to the holistic world to assist with cancer because of many of the properties listed in the previous paragraph. But recently in 2010 Frankincense has made the news again saying that the medical community is starting to understand why it is useful in combating cancer!

It was interesting that the BBC article stated that Frankincense “closes down the nucleus to stop it reproducing corrupted DNA codes." Those using essential oil for years have known through Organic Chemistry that oils heal through a “PMS model” as presented by Dr. David Stewart.

The PMS Model consists of Phenols, Sesquiterpenes and Monoterpenes. Phenols clean the receptor sites of the cell; Sesquiterpenes delete bad information from cellular memory (DNA) and monoterpenes awaken or restore the correct information stored in the cell at a DNA level.

What are the Plant Properties? Anti-cancerous, anti-catarrhal, anti-depressant, anti-infectious, anti-tumoral, antiseptic, expectorant, immune-stimulant, muscle relaxant and sedative.

What are the Documented Uses and Benefits of Frankincense? Asthma, cancer, depression, infection (colds, coughs, pneumonia, respiratory, staph, strep), immune stimulant, inflammation, meditation, muscles, nervous conditions, spiritual connection, supports the nervous system, stress, ulcers and vertigo.

How do I use it?

Use NEAT (undiluted). Then,

• Apply several drops (2-4) on location

• Apply to chakras/vitaflex points

• Directly inhale

• Diffuse, or

• Dietary Supplement (Only Young Living Essential Oils can be ingested!!!)

Health Benefits of Frankincense:

A little goes a long way.

Many years ago, when I was a teenager, my mom and I were heading to shop at Walmart in my home town in Illinois. On the corner, before turning into the parking lot, there was a man standing there holding a sign that read, "Hungry, will work for food." It was dark and cold and snowing like crazy. As my mom and I shopped, I thought about that man and asked my mom if it would be OK to pick up some food items to give to him. She agreed that would be a good idea and so we shopped the snack isle and picked up several things for the man outside. This was before Walmart was "Super" and all they had was peanut butter crackers, nuts, juice and stuff like that. We filled two sacks with snacks and drinks and before we left the parking lot that night, I hopped out of the car to hand the man the two bags. Much to my surprise, the man did not want the food! He said to me, "I don't eat that kind of junk." WHAT?!? I just stood there for a second, which seemed like eternity. I didn't know what to do. Do I take the bags and get back into the car or do I leave them and run? I honestly can't even remember what I did with those bags now. But what I do remember is how he treated my gift to him and that has kept me from ever dipping into my pocket to give to another beggar again. All these years later, I have been bitter toward beggars. I try not to be hateful and I DO feel very bad for them, but I often find myself thinking negative things toward them... I know, it's not fair of me.

I have noticed lately around here that I can almost NEVER go to a gas station without getting approached by someone needing gas, money or food. I have turned several away, even if I do occasionally have the cash in my wallet. Sometimes I even ignore them all together without ever acknowledging they are trying to talk to me. A few weeks ago something miraculous happened to me. This time I acted no different... a man started coming for me as I was waiting for my gas to finish pumping. When I noticed him approaching me, I quickly hopped into the drivers seat of my van and mouthed, "I'm sorry." He was a man about my age and it did scare me a little being by myself with the boys. I continued to watch him as he approached the next vehicle where a lady and, what looked like, her teenage son were pumping gas. What happened next would change my life forever... I sat there thinking I was going to see her reject him as well and was starting to feel bad for the guy when suddenly she pulls some money out of her pocket, counts out 5 bills (i don't know how much it was) and gives it to the man. I was astonished! What did she do? Doesn't she know that he will probably go buy beer with that? Or worse, drugs? But then, I couldn't get it out of my head... how thankful he was, and how simple of an act it seemed but what an impact it made. Then I started to think about what Jesus would have us do and what it says in the bible.

For the next few weeks that incident played over and over in my mind. It wasn't until yesterday, while getting gas with my oldest son, that I was approached again. This time it was an older, black lady. She was dressed decent but you could tell something was wrong upstairs. She was mumbling and talking to herself. She didn't seem drunk or high, just off. Before she approached the van, I watched her for a minute as she approached others. One guy totally ignoring her, another telling her no, a lady in a car driving off really fast before she could get to her window. I knew we were next. As she walked up to Steven's passenger side window, I said "Roll your window down, son." He said, "No, mom. Just go."  As I grabbed my wallet I said, "No, roll it down." Before the lady could say I word, I handed Steven 3 dollar bills to give to her and she accepted it. She just stood there looking at the money and then looking at me and then looking at the money again. I was sitting there with the biggest smile my face could handle. She said as clear as day, "Thank you, ma'am." And I said, "May God bless you. Have a wonderful day." MAN!!!! That felt WONDERFUL!!! My heart was SO full! That was the most amazing experience I had had in a while. Every negative thought I had toward people begging was gone! I didn't care what she did with the money... the "whole" $3.00. It didn't matter. It was the principle, the point of it all, the Jesus in ME!!!!

Now, don't get me wrong. We must use good judgement. I recommend asking the Lord to show you when to give and when not to. I also don't think it's wise to put yourself in crazy situations in order to hand someone a few bucks. But I do, now, believe that when the moment arises where you can love another human, you have some cash in your wallet and you feel God's peace to give... by all means, DO SO!

Let's take a look at what God has to say about giving...

Deuteronomy 15:10   Give generously to him and do so without a grudging heart; then because of this the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to.

Deuteronomy 16:17   Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the
LORD your God which
He has given you.

Proverbs 21:26   …the righteous gives and does not hold back.

Proverbs 22:9   He who is generous will be blessed, for he gives some of his food to the poor.

Proverbs 28:27    He who gives to the poor will never want, but he who shuts his eyes will have many curses.

Luke 6:30   Give to everyone who asks of you, and whoever takes away what is yours, do not demand it back.

Luke 6:38   Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return.

James 2:15-16   If a brother or sister is without clothing and in need of daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and be filled,” and yet you do not give them what is necessary for their body, what use is that?

God is faithful to His word and keeps His promises. Not only am I blessed with an amazing JOY by giving to the poor but He says He will bless me monetarily as well. AWESOME! I finally get what it's all about, and it's not just about my church or my friends or my family. It's about ALL of His children. Even the beggars. Thank you, Lord.

Have a great day today, friends. Bless someone today. :)

Organic or Non? That is the question.

If you haven't jumped on the "organic bandwagon", you are probably thinking all of us who have, are a little crazy. Well, I totally understand. I used to be one of those who thought the Organic label was just another way for companies to make an extra buck. Maybe more like, a lot of bucks, because organic stuff is EXPENSIVE! But here's the deal, after I started my own garden last year and learned the details of how to grow a plant from fertilizer to seed to germination to fruit and veggies, I quickly changed my mind. Have you ever read the backs of the bottles of regular garden pesticides? Do you realize how hard it is to wash that stuff off? And even if you wash it really, really good, it's still in the roots and still inside the fruit or vegetable. There are so many statistic out there concerning human consumption of herbicides and pesticides and I have the hardest time knowing that, and then putting it on the table for my family of 6 to eat. And let's not even go into all of the hormones and steroids they feed animals that we eat. Yes, it is more expensive, and if you do an organic garden like me, it takes a lot more time and research, but it is so, so worth it.

Here's some things we do different to offset the cost of buying organic.
  1. Eat less meat per meal. I make a lot of soup, casseroles and stir-frys. There is no huge hamburger patty (unless it's a bean burger) or giant chicken breast on our plates at dinner. It's not cost effective and it's just too much meat! I can feed our family of 6 a super awesome meal using 2 organic chicken breasts or 1/2 to 3/4 lb organic ground beef.
  2. Shop your local Farmer's Market. Not all things at a Farmer's Markets are organic, homegrown or even cheap but if you keep looking, I bet you will find one that suits your family's needs. Also, buying fruits and veggies that are in season can be much more cost effective.
  3. Grow a garden. Even if it's just an herb garden or a container garden. I've seen some really successful container gardens done by people who have little to no yard.
  4. Find a person who sells their own farm eggs. Eggs are very nutritious. And if you have connections, they are cheaper than buying at the store. They have minerals

and vitamins that you can't get anywhere else. Eggs have been known to help fight Altheimer's disease. They are packed with protein but they have to be "real" eggs... not store bought.

  5. Stop buying packaged snacks and ready made meals. Yes, they may seem easier to prepare for a very busy family but not only will you be spending more time off work in the doctor's office, you will also are paying more for what you get. There are some amazing recipes and ideas out there on the internet to help you manage cooking, and feeding your family on the run, in a healthy way... believe me, if I can do it, you can do it. For example, make a batch of organic granola bars on a Saturday afternoon. Make enough to last the week, for easy grab-and-go. It will take you maybe 45 mins to figure it all out and less each time you prepare them. For the cost, you will get a ton more doing it yourself. Another great healthy snack is hard boiled eggs. My boys love them. Lots of nutrition and good for the brain!
  6. One word... Costco! I can not begin to explain how much I LOVE this store. It carries lots and lots of organic products in bulk at an awesome price. It's my once-a-month stop shop. Since I started shopping there, I make little to no extra stops at the store throughout the week and our pantry is stocked with more variety of organic products.
  7. Use your crock pot. Even if you use it to just cook the chicken you will shred and put on salad or sweet potato later that evening, it saves time and gets one part of dinner done in advance.  There are tons and tons of recipes online for crock pots. Just don't use the ones that include cream soups or weird packaged things... keep it real. :)
  8. Don't be afraid to use your imagination. I love finding recipes I can alter. If I find one I think will be a hit, I immediately figure out how I can alter it to fit with the things I have or am willing to feed my family. And there's nothing wrong with a good ol' cleaning-out-the-fridge meal. This morning I emptied my fridge with every single veggie I could find. I had a few of this and a 1/2 of that, and I made vegetable soup in the crock pot. I added some kale and cilantro, a can of organic diced tomatoes. I may bake some homemade grain free bread tonight to go with it... BOOM! Done. :) Healthy, packed with nutrition, organic, and the best part... easy. (and nothing was wasted!)

Here's a wonderful chart showing just what exactly is the difference between organic and non.

Apply chemical fertilizers to promote plant growth.Apply natural fertilizers, such as manure or compost, to feed soil and plants.
Spray synthetic insecticides to reduce pests and disease.Spray pesticides from natural sources; use beneficial insects and birds, mating disruption or traps to reduce pests and disease.
Use synthetic herbicides to manage weeds.Use environmentally-generated plant-killing compounds; rotate crops, till, hand weed or mulch to manage weeds.
Give animals antibiotics, growth hormones and medications to prevent disease and spur growth.Give animals organic feed and allow them access to the outdoors. Use preventive measures — such as rotational grazing, a balanced diet and clean housing — to help minimize disease.

Also, take note that "Natural" and "Organic" are NOT the same thing! You may see "natural" and other terms such as "all natural," "free-range" or "hormone-free" on food labels. These descriptions must be truthful, but don't confuse them with the term "organic." Only foods that are grown and processed according to USDA organic standards can be labeled organic.

One more reason to buy organic:
Organic regulations ban or severely restrict the use of food additives, processing aids (substances used during processing, but not added directly to food) and fortifying agents commonly used in nonorganic foods, including preservatives, artificial sweeteners, colorings and flavorings, and monosodium glutamate.
